What We Do

Each ‘Gate’ location is developed by prayer, to reach the needs of that community. We always begin with establishing a prayer room that prays for the town or city, and partners with others to pray. We listen to the needs of the community and begin to find where we can serve.

A free lunch café that offers free lunches to those who are hungry, or a city grounds coffee café where we offer a really good free cup of coffee and conversation. We offer a place where people can come rest, dream and receive in an atmosphere covered by prayer.

Testimonials

"So refreshing. I am blown away by the love and mercy of this ministry. Thank you for all you do!"

City Gate Lancaster
"Thank you for letting us be a part of this. Met and spoke to so many people. We were able to minister and pray to a few people during this time. Here are a few testimonies that stood out to us.

A couple from Harrisburg, the man had worked in construction during the Wilbur renovation and always wondered what City Gate was. They were having some difficulty with their son as he had walked away from the Lord and is lost in the world. They were grateful that there was a place like City Gate where they felt the presence of the Lord and people were so welcoming and available to pray for their needs. He said they wished there was a place like this in Harrisburg.

We prayed for another couple from York. The man said his brother has end stage cancer, his has a family with young children. They do not understand why this is happening to them. They wanted prayer to bring people to walk beside his brother and their family. They are thankful that they could speak to others so freely about the pain they carry. Thankful for the prayers.

There was a mom and her 2 teenage daughters, they are from Manheim. They needed prayer for her husband who has been struggling with anxiety and having panic attacks. We prayed for God's intense peace and love to cover him.

There was a young adult Male asking what City Gate was as he thought it was an Art Studio. I remarked, yes an Art Studio for Jesus. He was thankful for the service, smile, and reception.

Some people asked what do the colors mean. As my hat that Bob Costas gave me years ago. He used to Stand outside City Gate Lancaster, handing out Gospel Bracelets, rain or shine. Unceasingly. I was able to share with them the good news, gave them bracelets. Without even initiating the move.

God said the work is there, just show up.

Thankful for City Gate creating a space where we can serve others, pray for one another, help each other with a kind word, prayer, fill their needs and be available to each other and fulfilling the great commission through our actions.

Thanks Kim and Brian for creating a space for the Holy Spirit to move and for us to respond."
